It’s about 2 weeks the Facebook was banned in Pakistan due to publishing some sarcastic and blasphemous content. The Pakistan government with some lawyers also alleged the Facebook to publish some caricatures of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SM (PUBH) and this is why the Facebook was banned in Pakistan.
But today (Monday, 31 May 2010), Justice Ezaz Ahmed Chowdhury has talked with the press and told that “We don’t want to block the accessing on Information. So Facebook has been restored now and opened for all of the Pakistani.”
Besides opening the Facebook in Pakistan, the Justice Ezaz Chowdhury added – “The government should sensor the sarcastic and blasphemous information when required. If any system can be processed to filter such type of sensitive information; it would be better.”
Justice also added – “It’s the government duty to take care such type of facts which make the general peoples to be irrigated.”
It is worth mentioning that, last week the other popular Video site named “YouTube” was also banned in Pakistan too. The allegation was same like publishing blasphemous content.
However, YouTube was restored in the last week by excluding some pages for the Pakistani Visitors which contains sacrilegious videos.
The last day Facebook has also been banned in Bangladesh due to the same reason. Actually what’s happening in Facebook? What’s happening in Facebook with the religion?
The authority of Facebook should take care of this kind of things. As Facebook is very much popular social networking websites all over the world, if Facebook don’t filter such type of sacrilegious content from its pages; one day it will be seen that, maximum states of the world which are simply conservative with the religion, might permanently ban the Facebook. What will be happen than? Last week the Pakistan, yesterday the Bangladesh and what will be the next?
I know, the Facebook authority will not come to my site ever, nevertheless I would like to share a thing- if such type of incident continuously happens in some other country, and a drastic attack can fall upon Facebook. Will the Facebook have the ability to digest these if some powerful country steps something rude? How many times they will compel to restore or reopened facebook in various countries?

Facebook is an American based, where our constitution has a freedom of press, religion and speech. Facebook is available to millions of people all around the world that post many different things. As long as it doesn't violate their terms of agreement, then people are free to post anything they like.
If any country expects Facebook to filter their content, then they might as well ask the ENTIRE internet to filter it's content.
