I know somebody who is lazy enough to download any kind of software and use it on Computer. And even I met with someone who are very much enthusiast about his computer and he like to experiment with different built in options of his PC’s operating systems. Today’s post is just for these types of people who love to hack their own machines and want to remove virus manually.
Now go below to know how to remove virus manually from any Computer (Windows XP):
1.Go to “Start” > “Search” and write “Autorun.inf” then search. A file will opened, Just right click on the properties of it and uncheck the Read only file.
2. Now open the file by notepad and delete the entire data insert of it by pressing Ctrl+A and save it.
3. Again go to “start” then “run” write “msconfig” and press OK. Go to the start up tab and if any “regsvr” file found, uncheck it and exit without restarting.
4. Go to Control Panel then “scheduled task” and delete all the task here.
5. Again go to start then “run” and write “gpedit.msc” and press ok . Go to user configuration > administrative templates > systems. Prevent access to registry editing tools and disable it then.
6. Again go to run and write “ regedit’ and press OK. Now go to edit to find and write regsvr.exe and search. If any occurrence found just delete it. But be careful about the system files while deleting. Only regsvr.exe can be deleted but not the regsvr32.exe.
Again go to start > search > all files and folder > now write “*.exe” and select specify date in the tab of ‘when was it modified”. Note a date within which a virus seems to have came in your PC and search the date. Type the parmaters without the “ “ sign.
The date should be mentioned here as such that there may have the probability of a virus is attacked but none of the software were installed.
7. After finishing the search select all of the exe file and delete by Shift+Delete.
8. Simultaneously write regsvr.exe, svchost.exe and search; then delete these .
9. At last, Restart your computer.
Hope all of the viruses have been healed from your computer.
