How to Select Correct Keywords For a Blog Post

In this very much competitive blogging world, driving enormous traffic to the blog is the main target for all of the blog owners. But, how to drive peoples to a blog?? Is there any magical wand to do that?

Nope! If the matter “Driving Traffic” would be a magical thing, I am sure all of the famous and most visited blog’s owner would be so called magicians. But the reality is different.

I have seen so many peoples who just think that “ I will make a post and the visitors will follow me”. But just making a post is enough to entice the visitors? I don’t think so. In every day, you know uncountable blog posts are being made on all over the blogging world. There are not only blogs but also newspapers, journals, websites and video channels are creating lots of new contents daily, hourly and even minutely.

So what do you think, is it enough to making post & publishing it to stay alive in the Blogging world??? Don’t you think that, you have to be more careful to make your post to stand out over the crowds?

Now, what is the solution? To me, the best solution of driving traffic to a blog is “Keyword”. Yes, keyword, keyword and keyword. There is no alternative of Keyword in a post.

Why Keyword selection is important? Okey! Let me tell you the fact.

If you write your post just using the keyword like “How To Make A Blog”  you will see in Google Keyword Tools that the total Global monthly search volume for this post is   33,100  and it is highly competitive keyword to choose. And it would be tough to get a good position in the Search Engine Result Page (SERP).

Now think about the similar keyword with a simple change like “How To Make Blog” [ Omitting Letter A] you will see the total Global monthly search volume for this keyword is 60,500 and it is less competitive than the “How to Make A Blog”.

Now Go to Google Trends to compare which keywords between these two are mostly searched by the peoples. You will see an amazing result. The less competitive keyword “How To Make Blog” is mostly searched comparatively than other keyword.

Selecting this keyword for your post, you will be easily able to place your post on the first or first 2 pages of the search engine results (SERPs). And you know, people inherently click on the links of the first 2 pages to get their expected information.

It’s all about the Keyword Research for a blog post by using Google Keyword Tools & Google Trends.
