How To Use The FileZilla Free FTP Software To Upload File On My Website?

If you are a newbie in Blog or Website setup in you own hosting; then you might get yourself a little bit messed up with the whole file uploading or using process of FileZilla Free FTP Client.

FileZilla is a free FTP client which allows you to upload any files on your hosting or server. Filezilla has been the most popular free ftp client since it’s lunching in the Internet world for it’s easy to use features.

All of the functions of Filezilla is quite straight forward and easy to maintained without any harassment.

1. Firstly you have to download the Free FileZilla FTP Client from here- Click This Link. Don’t forget to download the latest version of FileZilla Client 3.3 since the Security is matter. If you download any older versioned software, you are in fault by default.

2. If you use Windows operating system then you must have to download the Windows supported FileZilla. There are download options for the Mac & Linux users too. Make sure that, your operating system is supported with the updated FileZilla FTP Client.

3. Now Install the Software and open it. (I will give you idea about the Windows Versioned FileZilla FTP Client).

4. Fill the Box with the required information. Fill the first box named “Host” by your website URL without the WWW. For example- xxxxxx.com . Remember, use the exact website name here which is affiliated or connected with your hosting space. Respectively fill the next box which is named as “Username” by using your hosting CPanel’s username and fill the other next box named “Password” with your hosting Cpanel’s Password. See the image below-

5. No need to put anything in the “Port” box. Let it stay empty.

6. Now click on the tab named “Quickconnect”. A window will be derived which is look like the image below-

7. If you see clockwise then you find the first box named as Local Site (Box A). In local site all of the Drives of your computer can be seen.

8. The second box of FileZilla FTP Client (Clockwise) named as Remote site (Box B). In the Remote Site Box you will find all of your blog or website hosted on your hosting space. Now extend the folder existed on it and find a folder named “public_html”. Now extend the public_html folder by pressing the + button located just before the folder. After extending the folder you will find all of your domains and subdomains there that you hosted. Extend any website you want by pressing the + button and find your desired folder where or from where you will upload or delete your files. Just click upon the folder, then it will be extended now straight in the below’s box (Box C) (3rd box if you count your box as clockwise).

9. Now go to the fist box (Box A) named “Local site” where your hard drive exist. Now click on the drive’s folder to show your expected files that you would like to upload on your website via FileZilla FTP client. The extended contents of the Local Site’s Drive (Box A) will be found at another box (Box D) which is located just below the Box A.

10. Now Drag a File which will be uploaded to the hosting space from your hard drive from Box D and drop the file at the desired folder in the Box C. This step is crucial because as if you are a newbie, you might not know on which directory of your website a file should be uploaded to work fine. If you want to upload something on your website’s root directory, then drag your file from the Box D and place in Box C but not in any specific folder. I mean, in Box C you will find several folders of your website, so place your files at the outside of these folders to keep your file in the root directory of the domain. Similarly place your files on the specific folder of Box C if you know that what you are going to do.

What Is “Blue Screen of Death” Error or “Irql_Not_Less_Or_Equal”?

Have you ever seen that blue screen with some text in there including weird pop up text like the Irql_Not_Less_Or_Equal? It is widely known as BSoD or Blue Screen of Death. When all of a sudden you see the blue screen, get ready to restart it. It is typical problem of computer and there could be a number of causes of this problem.

First, your pc could be getting hot. Look at your PC or laptop and see if it is running hot. If you think temperature is abnormally high, you might want to get a cooling fan.

Second and most common cause of Irql_Not_Less_Or_Equal is an issue with Windows registry. If you are a ordinary PC user, it would be very difficult to remove this error. Luckily, there are some tools that help to fix Blue Screen of Death error.

Other problems include your memory. Try to get good, solid memory. Take out the old one and examine new one in the system for a while. If you do not see the blue screen for a while, wrap old memory and send it to your worst enemy.

I have seen several peoples who always want to take shortcut methods and simply format their hard drives and rush to reinstall Windows. How to Create Expandable Post By Using “Read More” Option at Blogger (Blogspot)

Sometimes this expandable feature is drastically needed, whether to beautify the main page (front page of blog) or giving the main page more space for posts. If you add a Read More option on your blog; your blog post will show a first selected paragraph of your post in the main page and the rest of the post will be summarized by a “Read More” button at the end of this post.

But the sorrowful matter is that – in Blogspot (Blogger) blog you don’t have the authority to use any plugin and this is why you have to do some hacks(adding some html codes) to manipulate the expandable post feature with a “Read More” button.

So, if you use the WordPress Blogging platform; you don’t have to worry about the Code Mess up fact during adding some HTML codes on your page. There are lots of Plugin to create a “Read More” expandable option in your blog post.

Now, I am giving you some easy tricks to add “Read More” expandable button on the below of your blogspot or blogger blog post.

There are two way to do this. One is for if your blog the blogger (blogspot) default theme installed and another is if your Blog have any third party template installed.

In Case of Default Blogger (Blogspot) Theme:

When you are finished to write a post on the Blogger new post box, define where the “Read More” option will be placed. Put your cursor on that position.

Now find the “Jump Break” icon from the Toolbar which just above on your Post Editor box. See the image below to find the location of “Jump Break Icon”.

Click on the “Jump Break” icon. A break space will be added on your post. It is moveable; so move it within the post whenever you want to place the “Read More” button. Otherwise the “Read More” button will fixed into the right place where you placed your cursor.

Now publish the post. Go to your blog’s front page. You will definitely see that, your post has been summarized with a “Read More” button at the end.

In case of Third Party Blogger Theme (Blogspot Theme):

Sometimes it is seen that, the “Read More” option works well in some Third Party Templates too. But if it not works, there is a code for you to do this hack easily.

Go to your Blogger dashboard and click on the “Layout” tab on your desired blog.

Click on “Edit HTML”.

Back Up your template by “Download Full Template”. (It is recommended. You should do it, because if you mess up with the codes it’s possible to recover your template by using this downloaded XML file).

Now Click on “Expand Widget Template” to expand the HTML codes.

Press “Ctrl + F” from your keyboard. A search box will be showed at the bottom of the HTML Code editor box.

Type on the search box. It will take you to the exact codes.

Now copy the Code mentioned below –

Paste the copied code just below the text on your template.

Save your template. It’s done!

Now during writing any post, place your cursor in the right place and click on the “Jump Break” icon from the toolbar.

Your post will show a “Read More” button at the end of the summarized post in the front page.

How to format or convert Pendrive in NTFS System?

Usually Pen drives is formatted by FAT system which is default function of OS. But if anyone wants to format his/her pen drive in NTFS system then it is possible. I recommend the NTFS format system because the NTFS system is more secured than the FAT system. Virus and other malicious worms that can easily enter to your pen drive; if the pen drive is formatted in FAT system.

To format pendrive in NTFS system; you have to follow the steps below:

1. Just right click on your pen drive and open the Properties.

2. Go to Hardware Option and select Pen Drive.

3. Now go to Properties and then Policies.

4. Select Optimize for Performance.

5. Select OK. Now it’s done.

From now, your Pen Drive will be formatted in NTFS File System.

Those who want to convert their pendrive into NTFS system by not formatting it; then, here is a trick for you:

1. Click Start, point your mouse to All Programs, now point your mouse to Accessories, and then click on Command Prompt.

2. In the command prompt window, type: convert Your Drive Name: /fs:ntfs.

For example, if the Pen Drive is (F: ), type like convert f: /fs:ntfs .

Done!!

How To Restore or Recover the Deleted WordPress Blog Posts?

Today, I was really shocked when I found that I have lost all of my exported posts from a wordpress blog. The incident is– Some days ago I determined to transfer some posts from one of my blog to another blog. And this is why I deleted all my post after exporting it in a XML file. But, like a fool, I stored the XML file at C Drive of my computer.

Storing at C Drive would not be a worst thing, if didn’t have to format my Windows Installation Drive (C Drive) to install a fresh new operating system as some problems occurred in my PC. I couldn’t backup any files before starting the installation process as there were no way to start the PC.

Today, when I needed to upload the downloaded contents to a new website, I found that I have lost something important. I tried to recover my formatted files by using different software like “Easy Recovery”, “Recuva” but I didn’t get back my XML files.

Later, suddenly a feature of WordPress blog appeared on my mind; which is “Trash”. The work of “Trash” feature is – storing deleted blog post in a folder. And the posts are restorable whenever you want. Without losing any time I rushed to my deleted wordpress dashboard and restored all of the posts I needed.

Eventually, I got back my post; I got back my some painless, valuable time which would have to be spend to write the contents once again. And I am sure, if I have to do so, I wouldn’t be able to write the quality contents that it was.

Now, I would like to tell you in steps what I did to recover my deleted WordPress blog posts—

1. Firstly go to your WordPress “Dashboard”.

2. From the sidebar, find the “Post” menu and Click on “Edit” button.

3. Here you will get three (3) options like “All” , “Published” and “Trash”.

4. Click on “Trash” tab. All of the deleted post will be showed.

5. Now click on the “Restore” link that will be found under every of the posts.

If you can do so according what I have said above, you will see all of the restored post already published on your blog or website. Happy???

How To Search AnyThing By Google [Part 2]

I had written a post some days ago about How To Search By Google To Get The Desired Things Effectively. There I have discussed some “Must Have To Know” type Google searching tricks. But in this post I will try my best to accumulate some other important tips, so that you will easily be able to find your expected things easily from Google.
Ok let’s go directly to the tips—

Minus Your Unexpected Topic

Yeah! It will give you the exact result that you were searching for. Just put the word that you are not expecting after the minus sign which is placed after the word you are expecting.
Let me clear it… suppose, you want to search about “Search Engine Optimiztion” but would like to omit the word like “Social Media”. Then, just type the phrase like “search engine optimization -social media” on Google. Remember, after minus no space. It will only give the results contains only Search Engine Optimization related topics except the social media.

Use Specific File Extensions To Type

To search any specific file types like .exe or .pdf or any other like that, you can easily use the search giant Google. Just type “filetype:your file name” ; here replace the “your file name” text with your exact file name.
And more specifically, if you search the Engineering pdf books then you can search exactly like “Engineering Books filetype:pdf”.

Search A Word That Are In URL

Sometimes, you may want to find a post which is written on the basis of any particular keyword, right? Yeah! You can find any url which is written on your expected topics. Just type “inurl:your keyword here”. Suppose, you want to find the SMM word in a url. So just type “inurl:smm” and Google will serve you the best results.

Know Definition of Anything

Use “Define:School” to know the definition of school. By this tricks you can use the Google as the live definition directory  . Just replace the word “School” and use any word to know it’s definition.

Notes: The Quotation signs that have been used so far in this post; are just for giving you a specific examples. Don’t type these quotations during searching something by Google.

It is really a challenging matter for every blogger to make a unique and powerful Meta description. Meta keyword is easy to write but Meta description? Most of the peoples find themselves in troubles in SEO as they just enter some Keywords or Post Title in their Meta description.

Why Meta Description

This question can be raise on your mind that why I should write a Meta description, even a Good meta description for a post. Okey! Let me clear it. Think yourself as a visitor. Whenever you search something on Google; it shows some links about your desired things; right? Then, among the 10 links in the first page why you click on the particular one to buy the product?

You never click like a blind, rather you stuck there and read every snippets below the links and you click on one which describes the accurate and best thing that you expected.

This is all about Meta Description. If you can’t write a Good Meta Description, you will lose visitors, whether your post is good or bad. Because, the visitors will not be able to see the post. At first they will see your meta description at the Search Engine Result Snippets.

Install All in SEO Plugin

First of all you should have to install the “All in SEO Plugin” in your wordpress blog. Unless you install this plugin you may have to mess up yourself with the codes. So install today the “All in seo plugin” to maximize your site’s rank by various SEO parameters.

When you will install the “All in SEO” plugin, during writing a post you will find 3 boxes at the bottom of the page and names are Title, Description, and Keywords successively.

You can enter the Post Title in “Title” box of this plugin. Because, you must have to write a “Good Post Title” not for the search engines but also for your readers.

Now concentrate your mind on writing a good meta description. Here I will give you some tips and I usually write Meta Description on these ways.

If you have installed the Thesis Theme for your blog then you no need to install the All in SEO Plugin. Because, all of the features of All in SEO exists in Thesis Default Post Dashboard.

Ask Yourself

Firstly, look again your post title. Now ask yourself “What the post title is meaning here?”. Ok let me clear the concept. Look at this Post Title. I have given the name of my post is “How to write a good Meta description for my WP blog post“. So people just think it; what my title are basically telling? It tells you a procedure of writing a good Meta Description.

Now Put Your Answer

So the Meta description of this page will be “A procedure of writing good Meta description for a wordpress blog”.

Use Keyword Technically

Look at this- In my Meta description some valuable keywords like Meta description, wordpress, blog is existing.

So don’t forget to include your important keywords in the Meta Description. And one another thing you should keep in mind; don’t resemble your post title and Meta description.

Title is the essence of your post and the Meta Description is the brief essence of the post. Try to write a Meta description in short and confine it within 160 words. Because, maximum search engines read only first 160 words of your Meta Description.

In this very much competitive blogging world, driving enormous traffic to the blog is the main target for all of the blog owners. But, how to drive peoples to a blog?? Is there any magical wand to do that?

Nope! If the matter “Driving Traffic” would be a magical thing, I am sure all of the famous and most visited blog’s owner would be so called magicians. But the reality is different.

I have seen so many peoples who just think that “ I will make a post and the visitors will follow me”. But just making a post is enough to entice the visitors? I don’t think so. In every day, you know uncountable blog posts are being made on all over the blogging world. There are not only blogs but also newspapers, journals, websites and video channels are creating lots of new contents daily, hourly and even minutely.

So what do you think, is it enough to making post & publishing it to stay alive in the Blogging world??? Don’t you think that, you have to be more careful to make your post to stand out over the crowds?

Now, what is the solution? To me, the best solution of driving traffic to a blog is “Keyword”. Yes, keyword, keyword and keyword. There is no alternative of Keyword in a post.

Why Keyword selection is important? Okey! Let me tell you the fact.

If you write your post just using the keyword like “How To Make A Blog” you will see in Google Keyword Tools that the total Global monthly search volume for this post is 33,100 and it is highly competitive keyword to choose. And it would be tough to get a good position in the Search Engine Result Page (SERP).

Now think about the similar keyword with a simple change like “How To Make Blog” [ Omitting Letter A] you will see the total Global monthly search volume for this keyword is 60,500 and it is less competitive than the “How to Make A Blog”.

Now Go to Google Trends to compare which keywords between these two are mostly searched by the peoples. You will see an amazing result. The less competitive keyword “How To Make Blog” is mostly searched comparatively than other keyword.

Selecting this keyword for your post, you will be easily able to place your post on the first or first 2 pages of the search engine results (SERPs). And you know, people inherently click on the links of the first 2 pages to get their expected information.

How To Search By Google To Get The Desired Things Effectively? [Part 01]

We, the peoples who are living in this technology era, are less care of any troubles and even less conscious of remembering any info too. Because, we know the methods of using Search Engines effectively to get the exact information at anytime and from anywhere.

Most of the peoples use Google to search something from Internet as Google is the only one Search Engine which can give you the more accurate data that you are looking for.

In my post, today, I will give you some suggestions about How to use Google to find any kind of data or files. If you are an advanced user you may find some tips below like some old stuff; and if so, I am sorry, I write for the beginners with a mix of some advanced tips.

Ok let’s go straight to the Google search tips–

Use Quotations

It is the mostly used and mostly popular Google Search tricks that have been mostly used so far. To find a particular thing it has no alternatives. For instance, if you want to find something about Computer just add the quotations with the keyword Computer– like “Computer”. Now Google will show you the exact results related to Computer. So, I suggest you to use this trick to find any particular things from by Google.

Keyword From Particular Website

Suppose, you want to search Computer related information only from the http://shamimnasir.com blog. So how can you do that? Here is a simple trick. Just write your keyword and place a colon between your keyword and site URL. For instance, Computer:shamimnasir.com. That’s it. You can get any keyword related info from any particular website by using this tip.

Image Search

I am sure you know how to search images from Google. To do it, just go at http://images.google.com and type your keyword on the search box. But, in advance; you may want to search any particular images from any particular website, right? In order to find any particular image from any particular website or blog by using Google, you just have to open the Google Image search page and type Site, then place a colon and type the URL of the website and after a space type your keyword.

For instance, I will search the computer related images from this blog. So I will open the http://images.google.com and type site:shamimnasir.com computer . That’s all about any particular image searching from any particular blog or website. Now, you may want to search all of the images from a website. No problem. Just type Site:shamimnasir.com and press enter. The Google will show you all of the images of shamimnasir.com.

Keyword in Title Search

Suppose, you want to read a post which is written on Computer Using Problems. So, you will definitely want to read a post where the Internet Using Problems exists in the title of the post. Because you know, title says about a post that, on what basis this post has written. To find this, just type Intitle and place a colon and then write your keyword. For example, Intitle:Internet Using Problems. Google will do the rest.

How To Connect PC to Internet

The newbie of Internet users can find themselves messed up at the very first time of connecting pc to Internet.

In this post I will give you some tips to connect pc to internet by following the easy steps.

If you want to connect your pc to internet; you have to create a profile at first. I am telling you about how to create an Internet profile in your Windows 7 installed PC.

1. Firstly go to the control panel from the start menu.
2. Open Networking & Sharing Center.
3. Now click on the “Set up a New Connection or Network” like the image showed below.

4. A pop up window will be opened like the image below-

5. Click on the “Connect to the Internet.

6. Click “Next”.
7. Click on “Set Up a New Network Anyway”.

8. Click on “Broadband (PPPoE).

9. In this dialogue box give the Username and Password that your ISP gave you. Mention the Connection name like “Smile”. “jp” according to your connection profile. To know the connection name please ask your ISP.

10. Now click on “Connect” to connect PC to Internet.

I am mentioning once again that the screen shot I have given above took from the Windows 7 installed PC. If you use different operating system you can find your working process a little bit different. But the main working procedure is almost same.
